When I first met Lucas, I honestly didn’t know if I should trust him. What stood out, though, is that everything he said he wanted to do… actually happened. Not in a loud or showy way, but quietly and persistently, like someone who knows where he’s going and just keeps walking.

I guess the collaboration between his company and the War Memorial turned out to be a real milestone. He’s a doer. He shows up, not just in name, but in person, for every part of what he builds. I still don’t know what kind of leader he is behind closed doors—but the fact that he’s always there, sleeves rolled up, says a lot. And maybe that’s why he’s doing well. Not because he’s chasing perfection, but because he believes in showing up and doing the work. One step at a time.
