Awos Zaidan

Mr. Zaidan was the first person from Saudi Arabia that I had ever talked to. He continues to pursue his academic development in the field of economics in ANU after gaining rich experience from working in different companies and living in various countries.

It was hard to believe that we were able to share honest opinions on highly sensitive topics such as religion. During our conversation, stereotypes were challenged, and perhaps the biggest difference between us is simply that he does not eat pork.

I was impressed by how firmly he chooses to live by his own values rather than simply following tradition. He is definitely a global citizen.
