Emma Compton

Emma works in HR as a public servant—that’s pretty much all I know about her job, but I’m 100% sure she’s passionate about what she does. When I asked where she’d like to take her photos, she chose the entrance of the office building where she swipes in and out every day. That kind of connection is rare. If I told my niece I was going to take her photo at her school gate, she might burst into tears!

If Emma weren’t a public servant, she’d probably be doing pottery full-time and upgrading her garden like a true green thumb. No doubt — with the same energy and focus she brings to her work, it’s easy to picture her hands deep in clay or pruning flowers in a garden full of life.
