Jo is the new owner of Civic Proframe. She’s super easygoing and has such a natural gift for customer service. She makes you feel like her friend immediately and effortlessly connects you with others too.

I found a beautiful chair there — it looked like a peacock’s tail — and she told me it was a gift from the previous owner. As we grow older, we tend to become more attached to physical things — a chair, a painting, a plate — because they become part of our lives, and life itself is short. So when I look at that chair, I see the connection between the two owners.

Today I suddenly decided to visit and take some pictures of her. I was happy to see her in a pink dress. She was serving a couple and said to me, “Fiona, I’m sorry, I’m busy — my sister is visiting.” I said, “I know.” Then she smiled and said, “I work during the day and we party every night.”

She’s a queen who protects people’s emotions toward their beloved works — and at the same time, a playful girl full of life.
